We have just started looking for our wedding venue. How far in advance should we book?
It is recommended to start looking for their wedding venue as soon they get engaged as a lot of the good wedding venues get booked up to 2 years in advance especially in the summer months on a Saturday. Many venues will hold a provisional booking for your wedding for 14 days with no obligation. This gives you the chance to visit other possibilities and make arrangements with your local church or registrar office.
Expect to pay a deposit of between 10 – 50 % of the total value. Many venues have a set deposit of around £500.00 to £1000.00, which will secure the date for you.
